In order to identify ways that the Bangwaketse may have moved, least cost paths are created. These are all the possible routes that may have been used by the Bangwaketse as they moved from one settlement to another, depending on the slope of the route they had to navigate through.

This group of people either moved with cattle, regiments, or just as a group of people. Having multiple paths generated helps to identify the routes according to the different kinds of movement.
