Dr Victoria Rautenbach
Dr Victoria Rautenbach is a consultant for the Metsemegologolo project and is a senior lecturer in the Department of Geography, Geoinformatics and Meteorology at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Victoria’s research focuses on spatial data visualization to support decision making. Her research spans two disciplines: Geographic Information Science (GISc) and Computer Science; multi-dimensional geovisualization, spatial data infrastructure, open source for geospatial software and geoinformation standards. Victoria is the scientific research secretary of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) WG IV/9 Geovisualization, Augmented and Virtual Reality. She is passionate about open source, open education and open data and has been involved in the UN OpenGIS iniative, Google Code-in and Google Summer of Code. Victoria served on the OSGeo Board of Directors (2019-2020) and is the current co-chair of GeoForAll.
